Well, it went very well. I will believe it when I see the check in the mail however. :)

It sounds like they are going to cover everything that we asked for and more. The contractor was here while the adjuster was here and they got everything worked out.

So RD and an employee started piling debris in the burn pile. Of course, we are still on a burn ban but at least we will have it in one area and not scattered all over the place.

I filed for unemployment a few weeks ago since we have no business left after the hurricane. RD is still working to rebuild... slowly but surely. The Unemployment office told me to be sure to call in weekly to keep getting benefits and I should hear something within a week or two. A week or so later, they sent me a denial letter. So I thought to myself "I guess there is no need to call in".

A few days later, I got a little check!! Actually, it was more than I was expecting. No complaints here. I tried to call to check in and see what was going on, but they told me that my case was closed because I didn't call in.

I said- well, I didn't call and check in because you sent me a denial letter!!!The nice lady said- well, yes, we automatically send those out.

OK- now I am thinking.... why in the heck are they wasting taxpayer money to send a letter that screws everything up so badly that it more than doubles the amount of time that the worker has to spend on the case as well as all of the extra time and gas money for me to drive down there to straighten things out. With a 20-month-old on my hip. Do you know how hard it is to keep her from running through the maze of cubicles? And the pens and papers scattered around the office were calling her by name. "come play with me!" "I have pretty purple ink!" "I have pretty black ink!" "I fly really far when you throw me!"

She is so strong, it is hard to keep her out of everything. She can pull herself away from me so quickly. I am losing control quickly. And she isn't even 2 yet!

Now do you know what she is gonna be for Halloween?

I just realized that it would be really funny if YOU dressed up as Dorothy and RD as the Tin Man or the Scarecrow.

And thank picture is SO going on the fridge! Okay, and on my desk, and in Beaux's wallet...;)

And the unemployment office is really quite the depressing place. Moo may have been bad, but I bet she was funny and cheered everyone up.

I left a comment on your blog yesterday, but it was swallowed up, apparently. My inspiration comes in spirts and dissipates very quickly, so if I said something clever, it's gone. I do think you should just let GBK loose on the unemployment office. Who wouldn't love to see that little ball of energy blow right through? Go ahead, let her go.

Can I just say how good you look, miss skinny?
I didn't have a chance to tell you at the shower today.

Good luck with the unemployment office.

And congrats to Miss Madi on the potty thing! I was thrilled
